Hi, I’m Jamie! Among many things, I am an artist and designer.

Working mostly in digital, I focus on typography and a beautiful color palette. I enjoy stepping away from the computer to get my hands dirty and create using oil, watercolor, gouache, pen or clay. No matter the medium, I aim to invite the viewer into a conversation about design, mental health, marginalized communities and/or intersectional feminism. While being involved in my community, I do what I can to advocate for the Arts and representation of LGBTQA+ and BIPOC artists.

I built my passion and understanding of design through my time in the Art + Design program at the University of Idaho. In Spring 2022, I graduated Summa Cum Laude with my BFA in Studio Art & Design with an emphasis in Graphic Design. I created Sugarkind as my senior thesis and launched it in April 2022 as a print and online zine, now expanding into physical manifestations of my art and designs.

Since graduating, I have continued to create and build my skillset. I am employeed full-time as a digital artist and photo retoucher. Participating in local art events and exhibitions is one of my favorite ways to connect with my fellow artists and former professors. I entered in the 2023 Palouse Plein Air exhibition and was honored to win the Best Historical category with my painting, “David’s Deconstruction.” In the 2024 Palouse Plein Air exhibimy piece “Take Back the Night” recieved an honorable mention. Having my art out in the community is incredibly gradifying - currently, you can find my work on the corner of Washington and 6th in Moscow, Idaho on a vinyl wrapped traffic signal box.

I’d love to hear from you!
